These opportunities not only provide a seamless transfer from a two-year to four-year degree program, but make it possible for military members to earn their degree at a reduced cost while taking advantage of other benefits available to service members who choose UCM.

The Warrensburg community will welcome thousands of visitors Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10 as the 欧美视频 hosts 2022 Fall Commencement exercises in the Multipurpose Building. The celebration will bring families, friends and students together for three ceremonies honoring more than 1,500 individuals who have met undergraduate and graduate degree requirements and are eligible to participate. Individuals who cannot attend but would like to view the ceremonies can do so virtually by clicking on the UCM Commencement Livestream page.

UCM Faculty Member Awarded Grant from U.S. Department of Labor to Pursue Workplace Infectious Disease Control

Miaozong Wu, Ph.D., CSP, ARM, program coordinator of the Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management, and an associate professor at the 欧美视频, was recently awarded an $85,000 grant from the United States Department of Labor (DOL). Made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, this grant funds one of 14 projects from different organizations nationwide that were selected by the DOL and funded through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration鈥檚 (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grant program.

UCM Board Actions Include In-state Tuition for Military Dependents, New Degree Program Options, Building Renovations

In its plenary session Oct. 27, the 欧美视频 Board of Governors approved two new options to the Bachelor of Science in Design and Drafting Technology program, the demolition and cleanup of select vacant structures on university property, a contract for timber harvesting at the Prussing Farm, a proposal that positively impacts the cost of education for military dependents, and policy changes that apply to UCM emeriti faculty and staff.

Carson First at UCM to Receive NIJ Grant: Will Pursue Study Contributing to Better Understanding of Left-Wing and Environmental Terrorism in U.S.

The principal investigator of a research project designed to develop data sources that could potentially inform law enforcement policy and counterterrorism efforts, Jennifer Carson, Ph.D., professor of criminology and criminal justice at the 欧美视频, has been awarded a $506,497 grant from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). This three-year financial award includes collaboration with faculty members at three other institutions in the United States and abroad.
