From high school and college basketball stardom to Olympic gold medalist and member of the Women鈥檚 National Basketball Association (WNBA) Hall of Fame, Chamique Holdsclaw has an inspiring story to share. Her powerful story and example is an inspiration to others dealing with personal struggles to manage mental health issues such as depression. She will talk about her role as an emotional health activist and an athlete when she makes a free, public presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 in Hendricks Hall at the 欧美视频.

While cadets at the Central Missouri Police Academy prepare for future law enforcement careers, they are finding ways to give back to the community by fighting against a deadly disease. Members of the 166th CMPA class at the 欧美视频 recently donated $1,300 they raised to help fight cancer.

Award-Winning Author's Work Brought to Big Screen at the 欧美视频
Award-winning fiction writer Alexander Weinstein will host a screening of the film After Yang at 6 p.m. Nov. 2, in the 欧美视频鈥檚 Elliot Student Union Auditorium, 511 S. Holden St., in Warrensburg. At 5 p.m., UCM will host Weinstein for an author talk, book signing and reception in the Union Atrium. The event is free and open to the public.

KMOS-TV, the PBS station licensed to the 欧美视频, recently received four Telly Awards honoring excellence in local television programming. One of these awards was presented to KMOS student producer Leilani Craig who competed against established producers in professional categories with her production of 鈥淜-Pop Rising: Kansas City Arirang Festival 2022.鈥�
