With only small bits of information etched into each of the hundreds of gray granite monuments that dot this vast burial ground, the life stories of many underrepresented World War II veterans mostly remain untold. A longtime attorney who served various public and private higher education institutions in Missouri, he was nearing his 14th consecutive year as a member of the UCM Board of Governors at the time of his passing.
