Klimek Named MSCPA Outstanding Accounting Educator of the Year
Janice Klimek, Ph.D., CPA, professor of accountancy in the School of Accountancy and Computer Information Systems in the Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies at the 欧美视频, has been named the recipient of the Impact Award from the Missouri Society of CPAs. The society named her Missouri鈥檚 2015 Outstanding Accounting Educator of the Year. Klimek received award at the MSCPA鈥檚 Awards Celebration Nov. 12, 2015, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Professor Emerita Marla J. Selvidge Publishes Two Books
鈥淲omen Nobel Peace Prize Winners鈥� by Anita Price Davis, Charles A. Dana Professor of Education Emerita at Converse College, Spartanburg, S.C, and Marla J. Selvidge, Ph.D., professor emerita of religious studies at UCM, was published by McFarland Press in December, 2015. It chronicles the lives and accomplishments of all of the female Nobel Peace Prize Winners from 1905-2014. Author and educator, Regina Birchem, wrote the Forward.

UCM Professor Finds Record 22 Million Digit Mersenne Prime Number
A 欧美视频 professor who has been involved in a 20-year-long continuous research project with a global network of individuals using computer processors, has discovered the world鈥檚 largest known prime number. It was found on a computer at UCM - Lee鈥檚 Summit.

UCM Alumni Foundation Funds New RedMan Suit for Police Academy
The Central Missouri Policy Academy at the 欧美视频 obtained critical new equipment this semester for safer student training of defensive tactics. A UCM Alumni Foundation Opportunity Grant funded the purchase of a full instructor鈥檚 RedMan Suit and 24 padded training batons. Unrestricted gifts from donors made the grant possible.
