UCM Schedules Alternative Event for Homecoming 2020
Recognizing that the current environment negatively impacts the 欧美视频鈥檚 ability to host events such as a parade, a football game and a number of other activities that traditionally bring alumni back to campus, UCM today announced the fall 2020 Homecoming will not take place in October. An alternative event is being planned for Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021.

Aerospace Academy officials discussed the need for a program leading to jobs in this high-wage, high-demand field. Following the presentation, Mayor Bill Baird and several council members expressed their support for the new program.

In recognition of the 72-year struggle that led to the ratification of the 19th Amendment, the 鈥淎rt of Suffrage鈥� exhibit at the 欧美视频 Gallery of Art and Design, Aug. 17 to Sept. 19, invites visitors to examine artworks that made the suffrage movement visible to the public.

Furedy Becomes Interim Chair of UCM's School of Aviation
The Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies has announced that Dr. Matthew Furedy will serve as the new interim chair for the 欧美视频's School of Aviation. Dr. Furedy has more than 15 years of experience within aviation. He served as an airport inspector and the State Aviation Manager for the Nevada Department of Transportation for nine years before joining UCM.

McClure Archives and University Museum Awarded Grant to Assist in Consultation, Documentation of Native American Remains, Cultural Items
As part of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the United States National Park Service is awarding the 欧美视频 McClure Archives and University Museum a $90,000 grant to assist in the consultation, documentation, and repatriation of ancestral remains and cultural items.

While the number of impaired drivers is escalating, the Missouri Safety Center at the 欧美视频 has a new opportunity to help address this national and state issue. It is receiving grant funding that paves the way for research into new tools to help keep high-risk drivers from getting behind the wheel.
