Dr. Dey received both her bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and earned her Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in both Missouri and Oklahoma.
Dr. Dey has extensive clinical experience serving pediatric and adult populations across a variety of settings. As the former owner of a private speech-language pathology practice, she primarily provided assessment and intervention for children with speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders, language and literacy difficulties, and pediatric dysphagia, along with supervision of new professionals. Her professional experience also includes 11 years of contracting with public school districts, as well as providing services to adults with dysphagia. Since joining the University of Central Missouri family in 2021, she has been dedicated to preparing the next generation of speech-language pathologists through academic instruction and clinical supervision.
Her professional interests include speech sound disorders and their relationship to language and literacy development, pediatric feeding and swallowing, clinical education, and the supervision and mentorship of future speech-language pathologists.
