欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship

The 欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors and college transfer students from the Kansas City metropolitan area who plan to attend the 欧美视频 (UCM).

Created through a long-standing partnership between UCM and the Heritage Scholarship Committee, the scholarship helps expand access to higher education for students who are involved within, influenced by or supported by the Hispanic community of Greater Kansas City.

The scholarship provides financial support to eligible students pursuing an undergraduate degree at UCM. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, school attendance, community involvement, written essays, financial need and their potential for success in college.

Scholarship Value

  • The 欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship is valued at $4,000 per year.
  • For a graduating high school senior, the scholarship is renewable for up to four years, or eight semesters total.
  • For a college transfer student, the scholarship is renewable for up to three years, or six semesters total.

Eligibility

To be considered for the 欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior or a college transfer student who graduated from a high school located in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
  • Be accepted to the 欧美视频.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or hold legal immigration status.
  • Be involved within, influenced by or supported by the Hispanic community of Greater Kansas City.
  • Have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale following the seventh semester of high school, or a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.0.
  • Demonstrate financial need as defined by the FAFSA.
  • File the FAFSA by the April 1 deadline.
  • Eligible Missouri counties include Cass, Clay, Jackson, Johnson and Platte.
  • Eligible Kansas counties include Johnson, Leavenworth and Wyandotte.

Renewability

The 欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship may be renewed for undergraduate study at UCM if the recipient:

  • Maintains full-time status as a UCM undergraduate student by enrolling in 12 or more undergraduate credit hours each semester.
  • Achieves a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 upon completion of each semester.
  • Actively participates in a registered UCM student organization at the time of renewal.
  • Participates in UCM鈥檚 Success Coaching/Mentoring Program administered by Success Advising.

For more than two decades, the 欧美视频 Heritage Scholarship has helped Kansas City-area students pursue higher education at UCM. The scholarship reflects a shared commitment by UCM and the Heritage Scholarship Committee to support students who demonstrate academic promise, community connection and a commitment to earning a college degree. Through this partnership, students receive more than financial assistance, they become part of a university community that values student success, personal connection, leadership and service.
